Matt - Welcome!!!

Too Green ha? After a few minutes I actually liked it. I did think that at the start...

It helps the Content stand out, but if its too much we can change the scheme later... Its just a theme.

Welcome! Let me know if you have any trouble! I am going to make this the best forum in the world! Its only a few days old so I still have a little time!

Please create a new category "Vortex Physics" which is strongly related to everything we are working on here and I have recently had some new thoughts on this.

PS: Site says "field content must be a string with a maximum length of 6000."

My story and insight on vortex physics is nearly 6000 words including links.

Does this limit refer to maximum words or is it actually characters including spaces?

Kindest regards;

Hi Scorch - Done.

Please PDF all lengthy Documents and attach as an attachment. 6000 is a character limit I believe. Unfortunately this forum is not built to handle huge posts, so best to have as an attachment.

Also, you could split into Sub Topics, and post information in each sub topic.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey Chris; thank you very much and BTW: You misspelled Scorch in the new category. . .

New suggestion: See if you can provide a "preview" button like other forums have so our stuff may be previewed and corrected before it gets posted to the thread.

Thank you again.

Kindest regards;

Sorry Scorch, fixed now. Thanks for correcting me!

Yes I have thought about this. Some things in the background are a big job to change. We run the forum from third party software and then customise it from there. Will see what I can do. Might be one of those to do jobs.

All posts can be edited for an unlimited time currently, so if you need to, you can edit.

Will keep you posted in this one.

All the best

Is there an instruction manual for this forum?

For example; I have seen videos embedded in replies but not sure how this was accomplished and no button for it unless it's actually the "link" button that does create a youtube window.

Also wondering if it's possible to display images in replies instead of attachments.

And is there a way to attach more than one file?

Also; I think animated gif files may be causing the page to crash.

I had tried attaching this file a couple times in the vortex thread but it failed for unknown reason-

http://rodscontracts.com/images/misc/VortexPhysics/fingerprint-of-god-vortex-math.gif

I think there are basic HTML codes that can be used to embed images and videos and a reference page for these and other things like emoticons would be useful.

Hey Chris; this actually is a very good question with regards to test equipment.

My lab is very limited with only a scope, a few decent multi-meters, a tachometer and a power supply and does not include any signal or function generator.

Can you please suggest what you might recommend as the basic lab equipment experimenters may want for proper operating and testing of these things?

Please respond.

Kindest regards;

Hi Cd_Sharp - If I may recommend, perhaps smaller steps?

Do you have a function Generator?. . .

. . . Also, like the MrPreva Experiment, the Coils will have an optimum configuration, Akula also used a Function Generator to find the resonance point on his Coils  . . .

I hope this helps!

Hi Scorch - I moved this to the Suggestions Area as we don't want to fill up Cd_Sharps Replication thread with suggestions.

This question is a difficult one!

Start with what you're comfortable with. Nothing overly expensive or fancy is needed! It wont be long before you know yourself what you need, and research is best done when you're ready. Some stuff I bought 10 years ago is way outdated now and 10 times better equipment is now available for the same price if not cheaper.

A Scope, Function generator and a few 1/2 reasonable DMM's is all one needs to get the ball rolling, to be honest, one doesn't even need a Function Generator, one could use a cheap Microcontroller if one wanted to.

Hope this helps!

All the best

Hi Chris,

Scorch mentioned an instruction manual for this site.  That would be awesome, even if it just started with basic things.  I could not figure how to vote on a couple of topics.  I hope it's just something obvious that I'm missing.

I also turned off my adblocker for this site - until now I didn't know I could do this for just one site.  The least I can do to help financially.  I'm finding the google profiling quite amusing - tech equipment and Russian brides!  If porn or erotic manga start popping up then I might have to turn on adblocker again - too distracting

I'm in the process of researching tech equipment to buy for setting up my lab with MrPreva experiment in mind as the first experiment.  I'm finding this a very daunting task.  Looked at specs for several function generators around the $100 mark and they don’t give max amp capacity.  So don’t know if I need to also look for an amplifier.  I already have an old oscilloscope but would like to upgrade to a new oscilloscope plus any extra equipment (such as a spectrum analyser? tracking?) to assist with tuning.  Any recommendations there would be appreciated.

Also I’m wondering if it would be useful and practical to dedicate a page for equipment?  This may include the bare minimum required to perform an experiment and also extra equipment that might make life easier (say for example a spectrum analyser for tuning).  Could be as basic as table shown below or in some other format that allows easy expansion of detail.

If table not shown then copy/paste from Microsoft Word did not work,  Preview would be handy.

Thanks again Chris for putting together such a wonderful site.  The amount of content is expanding faster than I can read it!

Sorry about all the ‘I’s.  Hope to participate in the discussion soon.

cheers

Pat

Hi Pat1 - agreed, Google ad pool must be pretty low, some quite inappropriate ad's being displayed.

Feel free to block ad's if you wish. Its no biggie. I will also see what I can do my end.

Yes, Scorch has made some excellent suggestions. Preview is on my list to look at, its fairly complex to do as its a re-work of whats here already. The Forum is build from MVCForum.com

So we have a base product that I have used, made a lot of modifications already, and setup. Most certainly I hope to make improvements as time goes on, Its been a very busy last few months.

I will try to get a video together of how all this works soon.

  • To Vote - I believe you have to be following the topic, after posting once you are automatically following, or click the follow button at the top (+ Follow)
  • We have Categories, shown at the top on the Right, each Category can have as many threads as you wish. You can create or post to an existing if you wish.
  • Personal Messages are under the Accounts Menu or you can Message Me from the profile page.
  • I will add a "Hardware" Category for Hardware discussions. I recommend start cheap and simple. I have blown a few scopes in my time starting, not worth spending big dollars on equipment is not needed.
  • The HTML Editor, TinyMCE, where you type to add a post, is fairly basic. It has some limitations due to Security. copy/paste will work for some items, but much gets removed. The solutions, Screen Shot to Image and post an image, post as a Document, attach file, or some HTML code can be added by clicking the button (< > ) - Some HTML is removed however.

I will do some of this sfuff now. Will keep you posted

Hi Chris, Thankyou for the tips.  (Embarrassed only just found it!).

I often log in once or twice a day to check the latest and just stay informed with everybodys work and extra info (Wistiti thanks heaps for Vasiliev OV).  To get to the bottom of the thread often involves scrolling and clicking “show more posts”.  Don't know if this is possible/worth doing – a button to take you straight to the end of the thread?  Maybe there is a good reason the way it is.

You’ve blown scopes!  This is a concern.  Lucky I’ve got an old Techtronics scope for anything dodgy 😊.  Currently learning my new kit.

Cheers

Hi Pat1 - Yes, the forum does take a little getting used to.

Another tip, you can hit the "End" button on your Keyboard to get to the bottom of the page, or inversely, the "Home" button to get to the top.

Another way I use a lot, is clicking the "Newest" link item in the first post:

Yes I have been through a few scopes, one of two, mostly from over voltage. Possibly also due to bad design. The new gear sounds good.

Hi Devesh - This is a very kind offer. Thank You.

However, you can probably tell that some of your Ideas I am already trying to establish, with my own domains and websites.

It is a slow process, lots of work, lots of ideas, never enough time to do it all.

I have completed a Live Chat, and added to this forum already. (not live yet) In my experience its not very often used, time differences around the world and so on.

I am happy to take suggestions and make improvements, but please remember, I am only one man. If you want to send me ideas and Code examples, please private message me.

Hi Chris.

First a Like for the team and the forum, I am convinced that this will be the way to make the free energy tecnologies avaliable all ovwe the world, a good environment for investigations and developers.the main reason that i joined to the forum is the posibility to share information, experiences and solutions. I understand perfectly that moderation is required, otherwise many of the threads could be disturbed by too many unnesecary comments and "random ideas" wink. I really admire the perseverance of some members working such a long time with dedication on their projects.

Actually i opened this section to share a idea, when i saw  it is intented for suggestions about the forum.what do you think about a secction where any member can post ideas, suggestions solutions for specific things in tecnical sense , without disturbing anyones thread , just for to be revieved and if someone find something useful to pick it up. ?

What is a Scalar:

In physics, scalars are physical quantities that are unaffected by changes to a vector space basis. Scalars are often accompanied by units of measurement, as in "10 cm". Examples of scalar quantities are mass, distance, charge, volume, time, speed, and the magnitude of physical vectors in general.

You need to forget the Non-Sense that some spout with out knowing the actual Definition of the word Scalar! Some people talk absolute Bull Sh*t!

The pressure P in the formula P = pgh, pgh is a scalar that tells you the amount of this squashing force per unit area in a fluid.

A Scalar, having both direction and magnitude, can be anything! The Magnetic Field, a Charge moving, yet some Numb Nuts think it means Magic Science!

The great Nikola Tesla:

Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe. This idea is not novel. Men have been led to it long ago by instinct or reason. It has been expressed in many ways, and in many places, in the history of old and new. We find it in the delightful myth of Antheus, who drives power from the earth; we find it among the subtle speculations of one of your splendid mathematicians, and in many hints and statements of thinkers of the present time. Throughout space there is energy. Is this energy static or kinetic? If static, our hopes are in vain; if kinetic - and this we know it is for certain - then it is a mere question of time when men will succeed in attaching their machinery to the very wheelwork of nature.
