Russian engineer Alexander Leontyevich Rodin made these exeriments twenty years ago. Extremely interesting stuff !!

Everyone can check yourself and make answer of above question.

Left: megnets fixed, copper disk rotated = current induced

Middle: disk fixed, magnets rotated = no current induced

Right: nothing fixed. rotate together copper disk and magnets = current induced. rotate both in counter sides = current induced.

Now some more complex setup. This one is professor Gennadiy Nikolaev setup with his Siberian Colia configuration (known as a source of scalar magnetic fields).

Answers would tell simple experiment.

Middle: disk fixed, magnets rotated = no current induced

My gut feeling here is that there is no charge separation. That current is produced in this case but it is as eddy current in the copper only. Can be proved or disproved via heating effect on the copper. The relevance might be that if true then rotating both the magnet and the disk in opposite directions might produce more current, but whether it is more efficient, I wouldn't know.

The second experiment is very interesting, but looks problematic. My understanding is the direction of spin and field polarity (N vs S) are supposed to determine the polarity at the edge of the plate and the center rod. I would guess the second setup is less effective than the original homopolar generator not more effective. Did he publish data that would indicate otherwise?

One of the practical problems with these is the brushes. Tesla proposed a variant that would minimize contact area brush by collecting the current from the tip of shafts of two oppositely run devices. Its tempting to build one, I always wanted too, but the engineering skills needed are fairly high.

I am start thinking that complex internal structure of magnets play a key role like some kind of "optical splitter" for the Ether. Somehow, "splitter" do restructuring Etheric energy and distribute it between the poles, while spining disk introduce additional structure deformation, which further induce potential difference appear between brushes. If we deform naturaly structured streams, rotating magnets while keeping the disk fixed, our forced action diminish this natural disbalance and nothing is happen.

Seems, the most important thing here, is a relative motion of disk and/or magnets with respect to vertical fixed copper conductor immersed in structured streams.

ps: Will be very interesting to test new sorts of "optical splitters", like plastic, different metals, alloys of metals,  water,  noble gases, etc.etc instead of magnets. And finnaly expose whole system to strong influence of different kinds of fields, like electrostatic, electric, magnetic, electromagnetic (stationary or dymanic fields)....

What is a Scalar:

In physics, scalars are physical quantities that are unaffected by changes to a vector space basis. Scalars are often accompanied by units of measurement, as in "10 cm". Examples of scalar quantities are mass, distance, charge, volume, time, speed, and the magnitude of physical vectors in general.

You need to forget the Non-Sense that some spout with out knowing the actual Definition of the word Scalar! Some people talk absolute Bull Sh*t!

The pressure P in the formula P = pgh, pgh is a scalar that tells you the amount of this squashing force per unit area in a fluid.

A Scalar, having both direction and magnitude, can be anything! The Magnetic Field, a Charge moving, yet some Numb Nuts think it means Magic Science!
